Secondary dysmenorrhea refers to pain caused by a condition affecting a woman’s reproductive organs, such as uterine fibroids, endometriosis, or infection. Unlike typical menstrual cramps, this type of pain tends to onset earlier in the menstrual cycle and persists for a longer duration.
